Dallas Cowboys starting quarterback Tony Romo is out at least 4 weeks with a broken pinkie on his throwing hand suffered in the team's overtime loss yesterday to the Arizona Cardinals.

The report states Romo was initially diagnosed with a pinkie strain after the Cowboys first play in overtime, in which Romo recovered his own fumble.

The Cowboys lost to the Arizona Cardinals in overtime, 30-24 on Sunday. Dallas has lost two of its last three games.

Romo finished the game with 301 yards passing and three touchdowns.

Outside of football, Romo is also known for his relationship with pop singer and reality TV figure Jessica Simpson. The two are currently dating.

Veteran backup Brad Johnson will take over in Romo's absence.

The Cowboys play the Rams in St. Louis on Sunday.

Isn't the broke finger on his THROWING HAND? Doesn't that mean it could possibly affect his passing? Then whenever he has a hard time completing passes or has a bunch of interceptions, you people are going to be back on here griping about his passing average for the game and how many interceptions he threw. I mean, come on, I'm sure he wants to play and will if he can. But if he can't pass the ball then he will do more damage by playing instead of just sitting this one out and letting himself heal. Unbelievable!!! Why don't you think about the team because that's obviously what he's trying to do.

Hey "no Romo", you see a problem. How bad of a problem can it be when his regular season record over this season and last is 17 and 5? Yeah, we have a real problem at quarterback. Why don't you learn a little about football before you comment on it. There are about 23 or 24 teams in the NFL that would love to take Romo and have such terrible problems.

Me: what do me mean "maybe now WE can win some games"? Are you on the team? Just another person who takes sports way too seriously I suppose. The last time I checked, they have won quite a few games and now they just have a rough patch and EVERY TEAM HAS ONE!!! Get off your soap box.

The stats showed ROMO has had 20 straight games with a turnover. Am I the only one that sees a problem with that? Five fumbles Sunday. Someone remind him he can be replaced....No superbowl this year :(

Romo is athletic - but does he have that intangible to take the 'Boys to the next level. Seems he gets hyped in the media and then starts to stink it up. Now he's bowing out with a pinky. He needs to learn to protect the ball so he does not injure himself trying to pick it up.

Somehow get rid of the owner and Dallas will have a better team. It makes me sick seeing his prune face on the side lines every end of the games. You never seen Tex, the last owner, on the side lines.
