6-20-06 - A Durant restaurant is still having fun over the Bryan County Jail's problems.
Salita's is selling orange t-shirts that say "I escaped from the Bryan County Jail, and all I got was this lousy t-shirt."
That's the same restaurant that had a sign inviting all escaped inmates to stop by and grab a bite to eat. That happened shortly after two men escaped from the auxiliary jail in May.
But the owner of the restaurant says the funny message has a serious point.
Mark Rawlings, Salita's restaurant owner, said, "We're not gonna stop selling them until Sheriff Sturch gets the jail back. We're going to keep selling them until."
The t-shirts were first sold last Monday. They were sold out within three days. We're told a new shipment came in Monday night.
