6-20-06 - A small plane crashed near a Love County restaurant Tuesday night - the second time it's happened there in a month's time. At 7:20pm, a 1965 Cessna 172F single engine plane was taking off from the McGeehee Catfish Restaurant when it crashed into some nearby trees.
Two men were on board - the pilot was flown to Parkland Hospital in Dallas. His name has not yet been released. The passenger, Douglas Richard, 40, of Haslet, Texas was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released.
Exactly one month ago, a '78 Piper veered off the same runway, injuring four people on board.
