Football Turf Donated in Marietta

6-21-06 - The Marietta Indians got some help with their new football field from a local business Wednesday. Jack's Sod Company donated the labor and new sod for the McClain stadium. That amounts to a $25,000 gift.

The new turf is part of a $700,000 renovation project to the stadium, which is also getting new bleachers and a 7-lane track.

The field will also have a built-in irrigation system. It should be ready for use by the fall season.
