6-26-06 - The Grayson County Health Department issued a failing grade to a Sherman fast-food restaurant.
The KFC on Travis Street scored a grade of "F" during a June 6 inspection.
The failing marks came after an inspector observed violations of food preparation and housekeeping.
Some critical violations were fixed on site.
KFC now has until July 6 to get everything else back to an acceptable level or they could face extreme consequences, including closure.
In my experience, thankfully the amount of F ratings are rare, they can happen but they are more infrequent than they use to be,” says Registered Sanitarian Marshall Ward.
KFC says they have taken steps to get back into compliance and officials from the corporate level will be in town next week.
