7-2-06 – A pursuit in Marshall County Saturday night ended with a crash. The crash happened at 9:18 p.m. on SH 199, just east of Madill. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 40-year-old Jason Brown of Madill was taken to Marshall Memorial Hospital then transferred to OU Medical Center in serious condition.
Troopers say Brown crashed while being pursued by a Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputy. The car Brown was driving was eastbound on the highway when it ran off the road, traveled 160 feet, struck a ditch, went through a fence and then traveled another 180 feet.
A 33-year-old female passenger in the car was taken to Marshall Memorial Hospital with possible head and neck injuries. She was treated and released.
According to troopers Brown was not wearing a seatbelt and alcohol was a factor.
