7-2-06 – Confusion over burn bans may have put the brakes on fireworks sales this 4th of July. Sales have been slow in Grayson County since fireworks stands opened for business.
Two weeks ago, the County Judge banned all fireworks and then commissioners decided to lift that ban. Only sales of rockets and missiles with fins are banned. Vendors say some customers are still confused.
Fireworks sales in southern Oklahoma have been slow too, but vendors hope business will pick up on the 4th – when they see most of their sales.
