7-12-06 - FBI agents are investigating a bank robbery at the Landmark Bank Tuesday morning in Denison.
Police say a woman walked into the bank on FM 120 around 9:18 AM Tuesday and slipped a note to the teller. The note stated that there were two men outside that would shoot if the teller didn't hand over the money. Then, the woman left, but witnesses say they did not see if she left in a vehicle. The FBI is on the scene and will interview witnesses. No injuries have been reported.
But moments before that robbery, officials at the American Bank of Texas, across highway 75 from the Landmark location, say the same woman walked into their location. They say she was talking to someone on a cell phone, and commented that she was in the wrong place. Officials released videotape of the woman inside the American Bank location.
The suspect is described as a black female in her thirties, about 5ft 5 inches tall wearing blue, medical-style scrub pants and a brown blouse. She had shoulder length black hair.
If you have any information about this incident, you're asked to call the Denison Police department.
