MADILL, Okla. ― Students at Madill Middle School are asking for your help. They are participating in a massive effort to help deliver new and used media to troops overseas for the holiday season.

It’s called “Tunes 4 the Troops,” and they are asking for your donations of used and new CDs, DVDs, and books on CD.

Students gathered up what they have so far on Thursday, but with a week to go, they are still far from reaching their goal.

"When they’re in war, and they have everything, and when they get off, they have nothing to do, so we're sending them movies and stuff so they have something to do," eighth grade student Hunter Chapa says.

“Tunes 4 the Troops” hopes to have 500,000 items delivered by Christmas.

I used to live in Marshall County and still have family down there. This is a very good thing these students are doing. I hope they get lots of help in it. My son is also a soldier and was in Iraq twice and he said they always greatly appreciate things like this from home. Keep up the great work students.
