Bikers Raise Money for Local Kids

8-5-06 – The American Iron Riders took a group of children on a free shopping spree in Ardmore Saturday morning. The motorcyclists held fundraisers to take 26 kids to Wal-Mart to pick out school supplies and clothing before the start of the year.

The Ardmore Children’s Shelter and the Department of Human Services selected the children who went on the shopping spree. Each child spent about $100 worth of clothing and supplies.

This is the 2nd year the Iron Rider held a shopping spree. They are planning on another spree before Christmas.
