8-13-06 - WASHINGTON (AP) - Just when air travelers think they have the security drill down pat, it changes again.
New rules being handed out to airline passengers today let them carry small amounts of liquid non-prescription medication on board, but order everyone to take off their shoes for X-ray screening.
The Transportation Security Administration is still refining the security measures that were tightened when authorities in Britain thwarted an airliner bomb plot.
Among the other items approved again for carry-on are low blood sugar treatments like glucose gel for diabetics, solid lipstick and baby food.
Aerosols are still off-limits. So are gel inserts for shoes, baby teethers with gel or liquid inside, and mascara.
