8-19-06 - SULPHUR, Okla. (AP) - A man and woman from Roff were killed early Saturday morning when the Jeep they were riding in slammed into a tree.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 20-year-old David Torres and 22-year-old Luzi Torres-Barcenas were pronounced dead at the scene
of the crash, which happened about six miles south of Sulphur on US 177.
The patrol says David Torres was northbound about 5:15 this morning when his 2003 Jeep ran off the road and struck a tree. The two were pinned inside the vehicle for about two hours.
The patrol says neither victim was wearing their seat belt.
