8-19-06 - Fire destroyed a home in Johnston County Friday night. The woman inside escaped through a window after the fire broke out at a home on Oxley Street in Ravia just after 8:30 p.m.
Firefighters are still looking into the cause, but say the fire started in the back of the house.
Several firefighters were treated at the scene for heat exhaustion, but no other injuries were reported.
Crews got the fire under control in about an hour. The State Fire Marshall is expected to help with the investigation this weekend.
