SHERMAN, TX -- A Tishomingo, Oklahoma, man was killed in an accident at a Sherman construction site Monday.

The 46-year-old man whose name has not been released was working at a construction site on Gibbons Road off U.S. Highway 82 west of Sherman when he was run over by a Skylift forklift.

According to witnesses the man was directing the forklift back when something happened and it ran over him. He was wearing a lot of clothing due to Monday's cold weather, and authorities believe it might have obstructed his view.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
