BRYAN COUNTY, Okla. ― A man accused of murdering his roommate in their home is headed to prison. Charles Shannon Bussey, 41, of Durant, pleaded guilty to murder in the first degree Monday.

Bussey was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Durant police say in May of 2007, Bussey and another man, Bobby Don Mullinix, killed 27-year-old Tristan Ace York at a Durant home and then dumped his body in Lake Texoma.

Mullinix is set to be arraigned in February on murder charges. If convicted, he could face the death penalty.

The woman who lived with Bussey, Linda Haworth, also faces charges of accessory to murder after the fact. If convicted, Haworth could face up to 45 years in prison.

I cant believe this scum bag escaped the death penalty, hopefully Mullinix wont.Yea I know Bobby, and he went off the deep end, when he was younger he was a good kid, now he needs to pay for the things he did, since he was the "brains " of the whole thing.
