COOKE COUNTY, Tex. ― A suspected kidnapper was caught in Cooke County Thursday night. DPS Troopers say Jose Luis Figueroa is accused of kidnapping his estranged wife and two children from Illinois.

Figueroa was attempting to make it to the Mexico border when he stopped at the Oklahoma-Texas border, fell asleep in the vehicle, and his three victims escaped.

The suspect is in the Cooke County Jail. He will be extradited back to Illinois, where he faces kidnapping and domestic violence charges.

Its a good thing that we care about the well being of the children and woman in this story. Its a good thing that we also understang the difference when it comes to the terminology of indifference now in this age of time. Im also glad to see that we see these people as humans and not some political correct terminology which is not differently used than the racists comments people spew on here.

We should send all our criminals to Mexico, like the Cubans did to us during the boat lift.

Would you look at the head on that guy. What a tool

WHY....The story didn't say he was an illegal immigrant. And he's being sent back to Illinois, not turned over to Immigratation, so there's a darned good chance he's an American citizen. The fact is, the guy is a creap no matter what his ethnic background. GOd was watching over the woman and the children. Merry Christmas!

Why is this a bad thing? He is just doing what everyone has been saying on here. He loaded up his Mexican family and was headed back to Mexico!!! Now that we stoped him, we have to pay to lock him up, and probably paying for the others going back to Ill...... Should have just let him go on back to Mexico were they belong!!!

Don't we have such a gracious heavenly Father, to make sure that he offered an opportunity for these people to be able to escape such a horrible situation? May God bless and keep them all safe on their return home and our wishes go out for them to have the Merriest Christmas ever!!!

Good thing he fell asleep so they could escape. That is horrible for them, may God wrap his arms around them and protect them

Send him back NOW. Don't waste our tax dollars. Help the woman and children get home. Merry Christmas.
