SHERMAN, Tex. ― Nearly two months after an 80-year-old man was found dead in his Sherman home, authorities say they still need answers.

Sherman police are now offering a $5,000 reward for information regarding the death of Clyde Guess. Guess was found dead from a single gunshot wound in his home on Brockett Street on October 22.

Police say a 911 call was made from the home before the body was found, but no one was on the line when dispatchers answered.

If you have any information you are asked to call the Sherman Police Department at (903) 892-7290. Authorities say information about the case will be kept confidential.

is someone who knows what happened or has a idea of what might have happened. I just wish someone would give them a lead.If someone does know something and don't want to get involved, please think about if it was your parent that was done this way, wouldn't you want to know who did this and put them away? We have someone who is running around who murdered someone.

I hope they catch the scum that did this, and string them up. Also, has anybody ever figured out what happened to Una Mae Heard?

you would think that if a 911 call came in and no answer on the line they would know that some one needs help i think this 911 operator if not dispatched it out needs to be out the door this is why we have 911

This is such a terrible thing.Mr.Guess lived a full life of 80 years and some druggie killed him for money to buy drugs (speculating here). Some one knows something, and it is a sin not to tell the police what they know. This community never tells what they know and that is sad, because when there is a killer on the loose, his next victim could be YOU.May Mr Guess rest in peace, after someone gives up the killer.I dont want to hear squat about racism either.......

Have there been any pictures of the victim when he was alive displayed? donot think so. also, there is no mention made as to when and hpw the victim's 911 call was responded to when there was no answer. what is the 911 protocal proceedure when a 911 call gives no response or line is dead ? this is useful info the general populous needs to know for their own application if they are in such a situation.
