ARDMORE, OK -- The troubles continue for the former Hampton Inn Hotel.

According to employees, they notified Ardmore police they were going to walk out because they had not received any pay for the past three pay periods.

Signs on the front door of the hotel say "closed until December 20th.”
The parking lots and halls around the hotel remain empty.

According to franchise officials, the hotel had recently lost its franchise rights. Another sign on the door is now calling the hotel "the Ardmore inn."

David, I don't think you are understanding it very well. They sold the hampton in august 2007. They have nothing to do with that hotel anymore. One point you are correct about is that they are the ones putting that hotel up behind Lowe's. Please dont assume things, because in turn you are slandering an individuals name for no use.

Maybe the guy at ChecknGo was on a money raising venture for the new Inn? Did he have a beard and ring a bell?

The people who own this place are the same people putting in the one of the new motels behind Lowes as I understand it. Wonder how that is going to work in the future for that enterprise?

Poor management which is under capitalised is probably the root cause of the Hampton Inns problems. Once this scenario plays out completely it more than likely will go through a bankrupcy and possibly a liquidation of assets. Once that happens it will be sold to new investors and it is anyones guess as to how the new owners will conduct themselves. So many questions and so few answers. Some times things just have to play themselves out in real time. Although many claim to be able to predict the future, I have yet to see anyone who has a real crystal ball. Time alone will tell.

I am so tired of hearing about this hotel in the news. Just bulldoze the building and be done w/ it. One less piece of "not news" to report.

Cash only, that will work well with business travelers who use credit cards and expense accounts. If they don't get away from that it will be the closed hotel
