WHITE HOUSE (AP) - President Bush says there's an "urgent" need to deploy an international force in Lebanon as soon as possible.
He told reporters that the international community needs to quickly put that force in place, to help uphold the cease-fire there.
At this morning's news conference in the new White House press quarters, Bush also announced additional U-S aid. He says more than 230 (m) million dollars will now be available to help the Lebanese people rebuild their homes and their communities, and rehabilitate schools.
Bush again held Hezbollah responsible for the conflict that raged in southern Lebanon, saying it never would have occurred if the group he again called a "state within a state" hadn't launched attacks on Israel.
