DURANT, Okla. ― Durant police are now offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrets of those responsible for a January burglary at a Duran pharmacy in which $11,000 worth of medication was stolen.

It happened back in January at The Medicine Store, located at 311 North Washington Avenue in Durant.

Surveillance video captured the two suspects and their white car, which authorities believeto be a 2006 or 2007 Toyota Rav4 SUV.

Durant police officials say one of the suspects has a round tattoo on his right calf about 4 inches in diameter.

Police say if anyone recognizes any of the suspects or the car or have any information about this crime to contact the Durant Police Department at (580)-924.3737 or if you wish to remain anonymous to contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline at (580)-924-8845.

I'm interested in being a proofreader for the online stories. I'm not sure if Duran and arrets and believeto are real words... Other than that, I don't have any information on the suspects.

Really Really Really, It did not get "leaked" as you put it, it was voluntarily released. As for whether or not he got to keep any of his benefits or retirement, why don't you send an inquiry to the police pension system and find out for yourself because I don't know and don't really care. Unless you're part of the agency you're bashing, how do you know if there's any corruption or not?! My guess is you get all your information from the local coffee shop or where ever it is that you and your friends gather and gossip about all that is wrong with the city of Durant. Instead of griping about it, if you think there's a problem, fix it! Before you do that though, you might want to go ahead and get some kind of proof that one actually exists. Gossip and hearsay don't qualify as proof. I never said or implied that Durant was Mayberry, it's a far cry from it. You've obviously had trouble with the law judging by your attitude so, I'm sure the fine officers of this city don't need your respect.

Durant has a long history of corruption at many levels DPD is just one of them. So go put your uniform on and pretend like all is swell in mayberry. oink oink oink

Phil, Obama has a plan for all of us, that's what scares me.

Posted by: phil Location: sherman on Feb 16, 2009 at 03:40 PM
when these guys are caught, they should be given additional governmental aid so their health care doesn't consist of robbing pharmacies. don't worry guys, Obama has a plan for you!

I said they were probably illegals, not necessarily Mexicans. Whoever they are they should die in prison and have to be swept out of the cell by the janitor.

To this is funny; Rutherford was fired from DPD and tried and convicted in another district court, check ODCR.com and type in his name for defendant. You think this town is corrupt but, you haven't the slightest idea what you're talking about. If Durant and DPD were corrupt, they would have tried to cover up THEIR findings from THEIR investigation instead of releasing that information to the media and prosecuting Mr. Rutherford for the offense. Don't be an idiot. As for these two, if any of you people actually know who they are, go to the PD and make a statement and do your duty as a citizen. I'm sure you could use the reward money. In the meantime, just throwing out random names does little to help the investigation and could possibly subject you to a libel suit. Again, don't be an idiot. DPD seems to be trying to protect a community that has no appreciation for them and would rather mock them make jokes about them than help them take these two morons off the streets.

These two imbeciles couldn't have made better descriptions if they'd posed. The tatoo he is proudly showing off. And the great disguises of wearing their hoods. This makes us certain they are from southern Oklahoma, a haven for mentally impaired people.

I would agree. The one in black does look like Jimmy Bledsoe. He's from Achille and is nothing but a thief.

Posted by: Anonymous on Feb 14, 2009 at 12:17 PM
It doesn't even look like Derrick Nix, plus he doesn't even do drugs. He is a clean cut kid. I think people should be certain before blasting people's names on here.

I am looking at the same photos as the people who have commented and they do NOT look hispanic. Just some typical east side Durant thugs.

I remember that guy on the left, that is Derrick Nix from Durant. No, he isn't a Mexican.

Posted by: Zyklon B Location: Sherman on Jan 7, 2009 at 04:54 PM
Looks like a couple of possible illegals to me, surprise surprise. They will probablyl sell to our kids and get them hooked. Find these geniuses and hang them, then deport the corpses.

Posted by: Ctizen Location: Durant on Jan 7, 2009 at 03:29 PM
Why not look at it for what it is. Two worthless pieces of thugs draining society. Stealing and doing no telling what else. Why not criticize them? Would see different comments if they come and stole from your community or store. Just saying quit overlooking the trash they are.
