No Jail Time for Safety Director

08-25-06 - The Marshall County Safety Director who was investigated for misconduct with a Department of Corrections Inmate, will not serve any jail time.

Donald Joe Adams has agreed to a deferred sentence for driving a work center inmate to Oklahoma City in July. Adams will be required to perform 100 hours of community service and pay court costs.

Adams resigned from his position during the investigation and did not have a criminal history. He worked alongside inmates in his position with District 2, but did not have the authority to employ work center inmates for personal use.
