8-27-06 – A man is back behind bars after escaping officer custody at the Love County Jail Sunday evening. Authorities say 46-year-old Jose Jaminez walked away from the jail before he was supposed to be booked in on a DUI charge.
An alert was sent out to authorities in the area and within two hours, Jaminez was caught. Two deputies spotted the suspect at a convenience store parking lot on Memorial Drive in Marietta around 7 p.m. He was taken into custody without incident.
Jaminez was originally arrested by Murray State Park Rangers.
