“Suspicious” fire destroys Lone Grove business

LONE GROVE, Okla. ― A Carter County business owner may now be forced to find a new location after an overnight fire ripped through the Evolutions Window Tint in Lone Grove. Investigators are now calling the fire suspicious. Shelby Levins has more.

Investigators from the Oklahoma State Fire Marshall's Office say the flames broke out just before midnight Wednesday. They say they were on the scene all night investigating the fire and collecting evidence.

Now they believe the fire may have been intentionally set.

Evolutions Window Tint specializes in car audio, window tinting, and remote starts. Shop owner Brian Lehman says the fire gutted his workshop, destroying all his tools and equipment, along with some inventory.

But Lehman says he is not closing down his business.

"I’ve worked too hard. This is terrible, but I’m not going to run away. I'm not going to close. If that's what someone wanted me to do, I'm still here," he said.

Fire investigators say it appears the shop was broken into, and the fire started in the back of the workshop. The fire is still under investigation.
