Pit Bulls a Problem for Ardmore Police

09-12-06 - An Ardmore woman got quite a scare this morning when she came face to face with a neighbor's pit bull.

Kande Carlile was getting ready to leave for work when the dog jumped the fence, got into her back yard, and tried to attack.

Neighbors heard her screaming and called the cops. Luckily, no one was hurt. While officers were on scene, they got called to an elementary school where another pit bull was on the loose.

They say it's not uncommon to get up to six calls a day of vicious dogs threatening to attack.

Kande's just relieved her kids were not at home.

The owner moved the dogs out of city limits so he won't be facing any fines.
