Internet Helps Victim's Friends Cope

9-22-06 - The community of Paris, Texas was hit hard this week over a murder-suicide that left two young people dead on Wednesday. Now the victim's friends are finding a way to cope online.

Most people have heard of, but many may not realize how often young people turn to the site to help care for each other.

26-year-old Leslie Lemons of Paris was shot and killed at her home on Wednesday. Police believe the gunman was 22-year-old Ryan Farmer, her one-time boyfriend, a man who they say turned the gun on himself.

Leslie last logged onto her Myspace page a week before she was killed, but her friends are already posting messages to each other, expressing their feelings about the crime.

Leslie was from Lone Oak, Texas. She worked in Paris. She wrote that she wanted to become an elementary school teacher.
