10-02-06 - An Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper, who was killed in an accident near Claremore, was preparing to call Love County home.
Trooper Bill McLendon of Mounds was responding to a call for assistance on the Will Rogers turnpike Sunday afternoon when he collided with a semi. OHP is still trying to find out what happened.
McLendon's wife is a special education aid at Marietta schools. Her husband was getting ready to move south before the accident. Services will be held later this week in Marietta.
The driver of the semi was flown to a nearby hospital for his injuries. No word on his condition.
