10-09-06 – Interstate 35 is once again under construction in Southern Oklahoma. Monday morning, crews began the year long project to reconstruct both sides of the highway starting at the Love-Carter County line and ending five miles north of there.
While you can expect temporary lane closures in spots, ODOT says they won't have to narrow the road to one lane in both directions until January 2007. Those carrying heavy loads will have to detour though to Highway 77 in Ardmore.
Officials say they expect to have every thing back up and running by the OU/Texas game next year.
