Congressman Brad Carson is in a Tulsa hospital
today with severe abdominal pain and will undergo surgery to remove
his gall bladder.
Carson spokesman Brad Luna says the Oklahoma Democrat became ill
at his home in Claremore last night and went to Saint Francis
Hospital's emergency room this morning.
Tests confirmed the second-term congressman had gall stones.
Carson will have surgery either tonight or tomorrow morning.
The congressman has canceled meetings in Oklahoma City for
today, including a conference call with Governor Henry on Tar
Creek.
