Gas Prices Falling in Texas

10-13-06 HOUSTON (AP) - It's Week 10 in the retail gasoline price fall
across Texas.

The weekly Triple-A Texas gas price survey released today shows
the retail prices of regular, self-serve gasoline across Texas are
averaging $2.13 cents per gallon. That's down 3 cents from last week and 78 cents from 11 weeks ago.

Nationally, the average retail price of regular, self-serve gas is $2.25 -- down 4 cents from last week.

Auto club spokeswoman Rose Rougeau says retail gasoline and crude oil prices continue to fall despite speculation that OPEC would cut back on oil production.

The cheapest gas in this week's survey remains in Corpus Christi, where it fell a penny a gallon to two dollars three cents. The most expensive remains in El Paso, where the prices average $2.25 per gallon...down 9 cents.
