11/27/03-- A serious accident in Cooke County Thursday night sent five people to the hospital.
Troopers say it happened on Highway 82, just west of Whitesboro. An elderly woman was headed eastbound when she crossed the center line and hit another car head-on.
The driver and a passenger in the other car were careflighted to Dallas hospitals in critical condition.
Three other people were transported to local hospitals in serious condition.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation, though troopers say it was likely an "incapacitated" driver.
