Ardmore Car Stolen With Child Inside
12-2-03 - The story began at the Save A Lot grocery around 9:30pm. The boyfriend of Sonya West, who worked at the store, was waiting outside to pick her up.
He went inside to check on her and left 4 year old Hunter West sleeping in a car seat, with the engine idling. When they came outside, the 2002 Pontiac Sunfire and the little girl were gone.
An intense search ensued and within 45 minutes, police found the car abandoned in the 900 block of 9th Street Northwest, with Hunter still sleeping inside.
Police have not made any arrests in the case.
