SOSU Plans Baseline Bash

The following is a news release from SOSU:

November 1, 2006 DURANT, OK – Savage Storm fans will have the chance to win what is being billed as this holiday season’s hottest gift, a Play Station 3®. The 2006 Baseline Bash celebrates the upcoming basketball season Thursday, November 9, 2006 at Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium on the campus of Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

Fans will be the first to see the 2006-2007 rosters in action as they dazzle the home crowd after introductions. Back this year by popular demand is the ‘Battle of the Sexes’ pitting Southeastern sharp-shooters from the women’s and men’s teams against one another.

Then fans get their turn by competing in games for great prizes and eating their way through the event. Campus Greek organizations will face-off on the dodge ball court for bragging rights and coed teams will bounce their way towards victory lane, and a brand new digital camera, in a hip-hop race. It all leads up to the competition and crowning of Southeastern’s Superfan with its coveted PS3® grand prize.

“This is a great event to kick off the season, and our athletes really look forward to proving how much they want to win by showcasing the results of many hours of work,” said Athletics Director Dr. Jeff Hale. “We are expecting a huge and loud crowd.”

The fun starts at 8 P.M. and the doors open at 7:30 P.M. with the first 50 faithful fans receiving an official Southeastern Sack Pack. Southeastern students and Savage Storm fans of all ages are invited to attend this free event.
