U.S. 82 between Sherman & Bells reopens
GRAYSON COUNTY, TX -- Part of a major Texoma highway closed due to a sinkhole earlier this week reopened Wednesday afternoon earlier than expected. U.S. Highway 82 between Sherman and Bells reopened around five o’clock Wednesday afternoon.

GRAYSON COUNTY, TX -- Part of a major Texoma highway closed due to a sinkhole earlier this week reopened Wednesday afternoon earlier than expected. U.S. Highway 82 between Sherman and Bells reopened around five o’clock Wednesday afternoon.
It had been closed this week when a sinkhole was discovered in the road thanks to a gas line underneath.
TX-DOT officials had previously estimated it would take until the end of the week to make the necessary repairs. Crews had to drill 16 feet underground to access the gas line.
