Ordinance would keep sex offenders further away from where kids play in Denison
DENISON, TX -- Sex offenders in Denison might not be able to reside near areas where children gather. City councilman Jared Johnson and city attorney Tom Akins are working towards prohibiting convicted sex offenders from residing 1,500 feet from locations where children gather like day cares and playgrounds.

DENISON, TX -- Sex offenders in Denison might not be able to reside near areas where children gather. City councilman Jared Johnson and city attorney Tom Akins are working towards prohibiting convicted sex offenders from residing 1,500 feet from locations where children gather like day cares and playgrounds.
Akins has already prepared an ordinance and will be presenting that to the Denison City Council at tonight’s meeting at 6 p.m.
