2 arrested for possessing homemade bomb in Collinsville
COLLINSVILLE, TX -- Two Collinsville men were arrested for possession of a homemade bomb over the weekend.

COLLINSVILLE, TX -- Two Collinsville men were arrested for possession of a homemade bomb over the weekend.

Police say they saw Jeremy Lowery and Michael Franklin walking eastbound on FM 902 near the railroad tracks when they tried to hide something in a ditch. Police say when they stopped the men they claimed they planned to set it off outside the city limits.

The Denton Bomb Squad was called in to dispose of the bomb.

Both men face charges of possession of prohibited weapons or explosives.
