ARDMORE, OK -- Residents in Ardmore are being warned if you see white smoke coming from sewers or vents on roof tops to not be alarmed. The City of Ardmore has hired a private company to test the waste water collection system.
A notice to residents says during the testing white smoke will exit through vent pipes on roofs and through sewer line breaks.
The city says the smoke is non-toxic and is not a fire hazard, but if you have "seldom-used" drains, the city says you should pour a gallon of water in the drain to prevent the smoke from entering your home.
