Very heavy rainfall is expected in several waves, early Friday morning, again Friday evening/night, and a final round during the day Saturday. Storm totals to 8 inches are possible.
Tishomingo city officials say they're working to fix the water outage in the northern part of town. They say some of their residents are still without running water. On Saturday, residents of the Green Acres apartment complex in North Tishomingo said they hadn't had running water since Friday afternoon. While running water was restored to the neighborhood for most of Sunday, it went out at 4:30 pm Sunday afternoon. City Manager Jack Yates says the city is bringing a water truck to those residents Sunday night and at 6:30 Monday morning. Yates says last week's sudden change in temperature, combined with a large amount of rainfall, affected the city's water filter system. Yates says everything should be back to normal by Monday morning.
