ARDMORE, OK -- Ardmore Police Narcotics Investigators conducted a “warrant round-up” Thursday morning with the help of Carter County Sheriff’s Deputies in which 6 suspects were arrested pending various narcotics charges. All are believed to have been involved with crack cocaine.
The arrests come after a month-long undercover probe specifically focused on two suspected drug trafficking locations – the area known as the Myers Apartments in the 300 block of North Washington, and the Willowbrook Apartments in the 100 block of Monroe NE.
“We conducted numerous undercover narcotics transactions at both locations, and were able to get arrest warrants for these suspects based on those transactions,” said APD Narcotics Sgt. Kevin Norris.
Brittany Williams, 20, and Candace Figures, 25, were arrested at the Willowbrook Apartments on felony warrants, pending charges of distribution of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS). A third woman, Patricia Pigee, 51, was taken into custody on a felony warrant pending charges of maintaining a dwelling for the use and sale of CDS. All three are neighbors and reside in apartments located within the same building.
“They were all associates – acquaintances, and apparently interested in the same business,” said APD Narcotics Investigator Cpl. Keith Ingle.
Elizabeth Howard, 36, was taken into custody at what is known as the Myers Apartments, located in the 300 block of North Washington. Howard was arrested on a felony warrant pending charges of distribution of CDS. Billy Ray Jefferson, 43, an occupant of an apartment neighboring Howard’s – was found to be in possession of crack cocaine and arrested pending charges of possession of CDS and paraphernalia.
A third individual, also to believed to be a resident of the Myers Apartments, later turned himself in at the County Jail. That man is Johnny McGinnis, 38, who was wanted on a felony warrant for distribution of CDS.
Two more individuals are being sought on outstanding felony warrants for distribution of CDS.
Shauntonna Elix, 29, is described as a black female, approximately five feet seven inches tall, weighing 135 pounds with black hair. No photo was available at press time. Elix is said to have been frequenting the Tishomingo area, and anyone who has information as to her whereabouts is urged to contact the Ardmore Police Narcotics unit at 580-226-9712.
Camontrez McCarrol, 21, is also being sought after on a felony warrant. McCarrol is described as a black male five feet four inches tall, 140 pounds with a slender build (see photo below). Anyone with information as to McCarrol’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Ardmore Police Narcotics unit at 580-226-9712.
“We thank the public for being vigilant and taking a stand against drugs in their community,” said Sgt. Norris. Norris urges all citizens with information on illegal drug activity to contact the APD Narcotics unit at 580-226-9712.
“It makes a difference,” Norris said.
