Victim recovering, suspect charged in Durant shooting
DURANT, OK -- A man who was shot in the head during an armed robbery could lose all vision in his left eye, and the man who allegedly shot him has been charged with shooting with intent to kill, first degree robbery, and possession of a firearm. DURANT, OK -- A man who was shot in the head during an armed robbery could lose all vision in his left eye.
Durant police say the man was shot at this home in the 900 block of West Cedar Street just after 10:30 Friday night.
The victim's name is not being released, but police say he also suffered slight hearing damage in his left ear, and his jaw was broken in 3 places.
James Cangro, 28, of Calera, turned himself in to authorities Sunday. Cangro is charged with shooting with intent to kill, first degree robbery, and possession of a firearm.
His bond has been set at $500,000.
