GRAYSON COUNTY, TX – An early morning accident on State Highway 11 killed two people and sent four others to the hospital.
Texas DPS Troopers say a Dodge pickup was southbound on State Highway 11 just after 6 a.m. when another vehicle turned onto FM 1417 in front of the truck, causing a collision.
Three people passing by stopped to help. That was when another vehicle plowed into the three, injuring all of them, including the driver they were trying to help.
Two of the Good Samaritans, Robert Ping and Edward Samis, were killed. Everyone else involved was taken to Wilson N. Jones Medical Center or Texoma Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Troopers say they are investigating the accident as negligence.
