12-18-06 Grayson County leaders have said no to the Texas Cities for Clean Air Coalition.
After listening to concerns from residents, Grayson County officials approved a resolution that provides for a moratorium to the fast tracking process announced last week in Austin.
Grayson County said they would like state officials to lengthen the six month permitting period in order to gather the necessary information to make a decision.
County Commissioners say they have asked State Representative Larry Phillips to try and push for a delay.
But those opposed to the plant say they are not discouraged by the county's move.
Grayson County officials say they plan to re-visit the issue, but no word on when that will happen.
