12-20-06 More than two dozen Velma-Alma first graders were sent to an Oklahoma hospital this morning after their bus crashed in Duncan. There were no fatalities but one boy was airlifted to a hospital with possible head injuries. Oklahoma Highway Patrol says most of the kids suffered only minor bumps and bruises. OHP says when the bus driver reached over to adjust the temperature, the bus veered right and into a guardrail. It then crossed the highway, hit another guardrail and flipped landing right side up. About 40 people were on the bus. Officials say the kids who were not injured were sent back to school on another bus.
