Sulphur Superintendent Resigns

1-9-07 The Sulphur Independent School District is looking for a new superintendent amid calls for change from disgruntled parents. At a meeting Monday night, Keith Foreman announced he would resign after serving as superintendent for three and a half years. Before that Foreman served as principal and assistant coach of the Bulldogs. In his tenure Foreman brought the school out of bankruptcy and the budget is currently operating in the black. However, some called for changes saying Foreman failed to get bond issues passed and improve teacher morale. Foreman's resignation is effective Friday. He said although he's disappointed he wishes the district nothing but the best and hopes the staff can rebound and move on.
