Oldest Area Veteran Passes Away

11-25-03 - Texoma's oldest veteran has died at the age of 106.
Willie Liddell claimed to have chased Mexican revolutionary
Pancho Villa and was wounded in World War One.
He died Monday in Ardmore. Funeral services are Wednesday.
He was born in 1897 in Marietta, Indian Territory.
Liddell had been a resident of the Healdton community since
1922. He was one of the state's few remaining veterans of World War
One.
