The fire at Byng Junior High School over the weekend has caused over $500,000 in damages. The annex that burned contained computer and telephone systems. The annex itself is worth an estimated $250,000 and its contents are valued at up to $500,000.
Superintendent Steven Crawford says major cleanup will have to be done before students can re-enter the school.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
