12-3-03 - President Bush signed a bill on Wednesday authorizing the Eastern District of Texas to hold federal court in Plano. The bill was sponsored by Senators John Cornyn and Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas. Cornyn says Plano and Sherman will benefit from the bill. Cornyn says judges of the Eastern District of Texas have agreed that the docket will be split 50/50 between Sherman and Plano.
