CALERA, OK -- A man and a juvenile are now in custody after a manhunt Friday morning in Calera. Colton Upchurch, 19, and a 15-year-old male stole several handguns from a pawn shop. Upchurch then took off on foot.

The guns were stolen from the 69 Pawn Shop off of Highway 69-75. The juvenile was immediately taken into custody. Police say they had to track down Upchurch when he ran into the woods carrying a black bag.

The bag was later recovered, the stolen handguns inside. OHP, Durant Police and Achille Police also responded.

Calera Police say they couldn't have gotten both into custody without the help of the other agencies.

"It became a little difficult because the second suspect had made it through the trees and was exiting the tree line to the east on the east side, and we had one of our units locate him there and then he gave up without incident," Calera Police Chief Don Hyde said.

Police say a parent from McAlester was called for the juvenile. Upchurch was booked into the Bryan County Jail.
