SOSU Starts Search for President

01-23-07 Members of the Regional University System of Oklahoma asked for input from the SOSU community on qualities they would like to see in a new president. Faculty, students, and alumni offered their input for characteristics of potential candidates.

Staff members said they would like to see increased academic excellence and continuing improvements to campus buildings. They also said they enjoyed former president Glen Johnson's "open door policy" and would like the next president to do the same.

A search committee will interview candidates. The regents hope to announce a new president by April.
