Several rounds of thunderstorms through Saturday will have the potential to produce flooding rains, and a few isolated hail cores or strong winds are possible. Never drive into flooded areas...turn around, don't drown!
Two Sherman High graduates are heading to the Super Bowl next weekend as Indianapolis Colts' teammates, and First News was able to talk to offensive tackle Charlie Johnson and the parents of punter Hunter Smith.
Reggie and Cheralyn Smith even took First News on a tour of their son Hunter's athletic career that included accolades from his years as a Sherman Bearcat and during his time at Notre Dame. The Smiths are obviously proud parents.
They plan to be in the stands in Miami next Sunday to cheer for Hunter and the Colts.
As for the other Sherman native on the team, Charlie Johnson is just as excited as anybody to make it this far. This is his rookie year with the Colts.
The Colts will play the Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XLI on February 4th in Miami.
