01-24-07 The proposed coal burning plants are back in Texas news.
A Waco Representative wants to put the brakes on Governor Perry's plan to fast track the permit process for new coal fired power plants in the state of Texas, one of which would be located in Savoy, in Fannin County.

Charles Anderson, a Republican out of Waco, says nine of the 15 proposed coal burning plants are in McLennan County.

He asked for a 180 day moratorium saying he needs more time for affected cities, counties and citizens to have their voices heard.
